Afternoon everybody, I’ve been planning on registering for a while, but for some reason not took the plunge, but hey I’m here now😀
My wife and I have taken the decision that we would like to move to the Alicante region in the next 3-4 years. Now I’m not going to ask what do I need to know, as I can imagine the responses!
What I will ask though, can anybody advise of a document, guide, particular thread (I have tried searching but there are hundreds) or otherwise that will give me a good starting point and address some of my queries.
I aim to buy a property that requires some light to medium renovation (have one in mind which I will be viewing soon) next year and do the work before the permanent move.
Any help appreciated
thanks

Welcome. Alicante (IMO) is a great region to settle, something for everyone.

Well I doubt I will be the only one to point out that depending on the Brexit fiasco your plans might need to be altered. We don't know what the arrangements will be for persons wishing to reside in EU after Brexit but it could possibly mean a change in requirements. For example at present non- EU citizens aee required to have a set minimum income level which is quite high for the average UK pensioner. There are a host of other issues that might make your move more difficult so I would wait until after March before making concrete plans
