Anyone know anything about a new airport being built at Antequera?

Would this be nearer to Jerez than Malaga?

Have you seen how low property prices are in Antequera? Surely this will be the new hotspot with the airport being built there!

Low!!!!!??? Compared to where?? Antequera property prices have been spiralling upwards ridiculously for the last 3 years. In fact the whole Antequera hinterland is pricey esp Mollina, Fuente de Piedra etc. The whole area is one big building site!

LOL! OK - we obviously have very different ideas of what constitutes "low prices"!!! My means must be a lot less than yours and to me low = very sub €100k! I can see that to some people a 4 bed villa for €150k would represent "value for money" (if coming from the Costa for example) but that's not the same as "low". IMHO.
Por cierto, why anyone would want to live in Mollina beats me - 10% of the population is now British, numbers mostly made up by 2 large mobile home parks on the outskirts, and it's by no stretch of the imagination an attractive place. And soon, if accounts are to be believed, it will be beneath the flight path of Antequera airport!

Looking at my trusty map of Andalucia you could take the A382 from Antequera through Olvera and then Arcos and Jerez.

Alternatively go south to Malaga and take the coast motorway through Marbella, Gibraltar and up on the A381 past Medina Sidonia and on to Jerez.

I agree with you, and I would hardly call that townhouse a villa
