hi guys!!
we are home now!!!! and now my spanish house is a bombsite!!!

we left on tuesday morning, and the removal truck (cheap and so reliable!) turned up on weds morning. It couldnt get up our hill so we had to unload onto a van and go up and down about a trillion times, on 35 degree heat!! so much fun!

Both me and mr FB are really pleased, but hey it still feels like a holiday so its bound to be!! Mr FB is picking up words really quickly which is great

I am a tad shocked at how much food has gone up tho but its so nice to be surrounded by jamon iberico!! and patatas bravas, and tortilla etc etc!!

Something strange going on, my antena 3 is talking in english which mr FB is rather enjoying - maybe its cause i am using my englihs freeview boxes?

Also forgot to bring enough englihs adaptors so everytime i dry my hair i need to unplug the tv and so on..... luckily the future inlaws are coming over next week so they are bringing some- they are coming to our wedding which is a week today- we really dont do things by halves do we!

anyway thought i'd give you a little update and thank you all for your lovely wishes....!!!!!

kisses from mr&mrs featherbum!!!!!
xx

Lovely to hear from you and glad that things are going well. Hey, why bother with the adaptors why not change all of your plugs over to the Spanish ones?

Enjoy your wedding day and best wishes for your future.

Regards

Rosemary

hello ladies!!!

we have changed a few plugs but the lady in the shop said to not change delicate things such as tv's, computers etc as a power surge could explode it??

You can buy a power surge breaker, they are not expensive and work very well, we have used ours for 3 years and sill going strong. You watch I'll be posting next to say they have blown.

I think that a power surge thingy is a must for your computer system because otherwise you could have alsorts of problems.

Welcome home featherbum!!

Glad you arrived safely; although sorry to hear about the problem with the removal company!
I've moved house in those temperatures, and I know it's not fun!

Anyway, at least you can hopefully relax a little bit before your wedding, and just enjoy the start of your new life together

Wishing you and Mr featherbum every happiness, and looking forward to hearing all about the wedding.
Maybe you might even post a wedding photo on here????

Enhorabuena!

Hi FB....good news that you are ´home´hope you are getting sorted. If it´s any consolation our house is like a bombsite also as we have the electricians in doing a complete re-wire....as they turn up as and when they like we can´t get straight and still have boxes to unpack after 4 weeks!! We had the plumber in before them and that in itself was a very messy and dusty time.

Anyway...CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING

I think it's your "BIG" day today, isn't it featherbum?
(Not that I expect you to be reading the Ex-Pats site today! )

Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you, and hope that you and Mr F have a truly wonderful wedding day

Many congratulations, and wishing you every happiness for your future life together.

All the very best,
Sam x
