but it wasnt that bad when we first moved there in 1978 - I was only a nipper (8) but as the years went on it went down hill - last time I was there a few years back our old place had been burnt out 
- they are moving people out now though to eventually knock it down and re-build !

My kids went to Blackheath Bluecoats, now that was in Blackheath

When I left Charlton in 2001 thats was on the plans then, glad they are doing something about it.
Looking at your age you were at Thomas Tallis the same time as my friends kids, there were dozens of the buggers. My kids went to Blackheath Bluecoats, now that was in Blackheath
