So what ?
They already have a success rate of 53 from 63 of mainly harder cases, so if they can take more scum off the streets in either Spain or the UK then why stop now ?
Decent quality mugshots, should help round up a few more.

The only sensible answer is to legalise and tax drugs....

However Michael McCartney, 78, was detained in Alicante after the list of "unlucky 13" suspects accused of attempted murder, drug smuggling and child abuse was disclosed.

I just wonder how many Islamic terrorists there has been in Spain. As for sex and drug crime, please show me a country that has none, why a few low life drug villains and a pervert throw the whole of the UK into question is a bit much, don't you think?

So what do you suggest, just totally ignore the drug villains, as well as any possible terrorist connections ?

I was expecting this thread to be about this:
http://www.elmundo.es/espana/2013/11...5388b456b.html
Yesterday the Guardia Civil released the details of these Scottish suspects in relation to the disappearance of a 6 year old boy 6 years ago.

Our criminals hiding out in Spain make the same mistake as many ordinary expats - they somehow regard Spain as being a 'backward' country, not nearly as advanced as the UK. How can it be, they can't even speak English.
So the villains have their photoshopped passports, untraceable mobile phones, and phone Mum to let her know they're safe and well in the sun. A nice photo on facebook is next, disguised of course, to show off their sun tan to the girlfriends back home.
And then they pee themselves when their villa in Spain is suddenly surrounded by nasty Spanish policemen with balaclavas and guns.

You've made your choice of residence, so far god's sake stop attempting to justify it by looking for everything bad about the UK.
