All done, I did not take notice of the time when he arrived but I think that he was only here an hour. I have one box at the television and the router at the computer as the telephone, television and computer are all in one room it was fairly easy for him. He was very good, explained things regarding the remote and he made sure that he put the world news on so that I knew I could receive things in English. On his computer I spotted that he had put VO at one point so I think that I will not have to change the language in the future for films etc.

I am no TV watcher but I think that this will have been a good thing to have had done.

Like you Spainrico I have never had any reason to complain about Movistar/Telefonica. Been with them for 8 years now and whenever there has been a problem they have responded rapidly.

Good that sounds painless. I think you will find that the VO option will need setting up each time (very easy to do) if you find a permanent setting let me know! (Mind you we should practise our Spanish!)

This service also gives you 4G option on your mobile but of course the phone needs to be able to function in 4G.

I watch more TV in Spanish than in English due to the fact that I like quiz shows but when it comes to relaxing and really enjoying something it has to be in English so that I do not end up with a headache or miss something vital to the plot.

I had not realised that with fusion it is possible to rent films, probably will never use it but at least it is an option.

Will investigate how to change the language, doubt that there is a permanent way of doing it then or surely the technicians would do that automatically for us.

No I didn't realise the film rental option or the full spectrum of channels before I got the system, their marketing is a bit lacking!

8 years? Wow! Although admittedly, the last time I had a problem with Telefonica, they responded within 48 hrs - a first. They didn't really solve the problem, but they responded, which I found quite encouraging.

Needless to say, I cancelled my contract with them long ago, and signed up with a provider offering better services for less money, but it took more than 3 months to complete the cancellation - and I still had to pay them for the time it took them to finally cancel the service, even though it wasn't being used or even connected during that time.

If their TV service actually works, that's a good sign. Perhaps the end of the heady days of monopolisitic Spanish utilities is finally becoming a reality. Now for electricity...

Most of the major telecoms contract not on the basis of what you actually get, but on the basis of what maximum you can theoretically get under perfect conditions.

We had a 6mb contract for years and never received greater than 1mb.

We now have a 7mb contract with a wimax provider and it consistently delivers 8mb+

I was talking to a lady on the Movistar helpline yesterday and she checked my system and said that it was registering 10.51.
