Default MOVISTAR FUSION PLUS

It appears that my Movistar Fusion+ service has been upgraded to 30MB on the ADSL service, for no additional monthly fee. Seems an amazing deal except I think new customers get it even cheaper! Maybe time to go and negotiate!

They did promise, some time ago, to double all speeds. The big question will be whether they can actually deliver that speed at peak times.

Let us know how it goes.

Ah yes I remember now! Thanks Fred, will do, looking good. I actually have Fibre Optic cable into my property (Alicante), very rare thing in the UK I am told.

Lucky you! I though Movistar fibre was much faster than that - up to 300mb.

Yes I understand it can be 300mb, but neither need it or want to pay!

Fair comment - unless you are streaming 4K to multiple devices, it's not really worthwhile.

Just did a 'speed test' on my active 'fibre optic' connection: Upload speed 76mb - Download speed 26mb

That's odd. Downloads are usually faster than uploads.

Since having the WiFi connection I use it quite a lot for 'general' use, but also for Video Skype calls and for watching the UK 'live' TV, havnt had any problems so far.

With speeds like that, even the wrong way round you will not have any problems.

Think they do the up to 30MB for €47, I am paying €51 now for there older Fusion package, have been thinking about going into a Movistar shop to upgrade but I'm not really fussed about the supposed speed increase, we get a true 10MB now and thats fine, faster than my UK connection now, was interested in the 1GB of mobile data though, mine has 100mb per month at the moment, problem for me is we are here on and off so by the time I get an appointment for the engineer i guess i would be home again, not sure how long it takes to upgrade to fibre

The upgrade to fibre was easy, engineer came the next day. Also got 2GB for mobile download.

Thanks for that, was thinking 2 weeks or more, will try and sort it out when we are over in a few days
