Default Moving to Torrevieja

Hi everyone. I've just joined & needless to say am looking for help. My partner & I have lived in Cyprus for the last 8 years & want to move. We have decided to visit Torrevieja at the end of May & stay for just over 3 months to give us chance to look around & decide. We don't want to have to pay hotel prices for this period for financial reasons so ideally would like to rent . Can anyone suggest anything to help us as we're aware our stay is over the main summer season. Also any suggestions re transport. Any advice or information gratefully accepted. Thanks. Sue.

Hi Sue and welcome to the forum

Would I be correct in thinking that this is Spain? Let me know and I'll get your post shifted over to the Spain section for residents in Spain to answer.

Sorry. I was pretty certain I was on the Spain page. Yes if you can move it I'd be grateful.

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Rosemary

There are two forums with torrevieja in their title - you'll maybe have better luck there

You are going to hit the old problem of wanting a 3 month let over the peak summer season - so it may not be cheap. As naturally landlords want to cash in on peak summer rates and demand. Probably easier out of town centre in the urbanisations - check with local rental agents advertising in the local papers.
