Recent Spanish restructuring/austerity changes
Rajoy was due to and apparently did make announcements, on the 26th April, on more measures (as requested by Brussels) to get Spain on the right track.
I haven't been able to find any references to the actual detail. Janet Street Porter was on British TV last night saying that Spanish state pensions had been restructured. Presumably less index linking, work longer and get less..
Anyone know the actual details please?

Something is needed, that's for sure, things ain't improving any!
Spain's economy shrank for a seventh consecutive quarter between January and March as domestic demand slumped.
The country's gross domestic product fell by 0.5% compared with the previous quarter, according to the National Statistics Institute.
On an annual basis, Spain's economy shrank 2% in the quarter - the worst fall since the end of 2011.
Spain's government has revised down its forecast for the Spanish economy this year, saying the level of contraction is likely to be worse than previously predicted.
Madrid now expects the economy to contract by 1.3% in 2013, compared with its earlier estimate of -0.5%.

But they are! - You're quoting the Jan/Feb bad figures again (and they were bad). Are you going to be stuck in that rut all year?
Unemployment, is now expected to fall in most of the remaining months, thank heavens - we're seeing jobs being advertised with the likes of Amazon, Ford, Jazztel, Cap Gemini etc with various new shopping centres opening up. http://www.portalparados.es/actualidad
Did you know that car sales rose by 11% in April after months of falls - helped by the Government measures?
At long last the American tourists are coming back - up by 35% compared to last year. The US economy is on the rise and that will boost our economies in Europe. Wonder if they'll clash with the surging numbers of Russian tourists?
Nice to see too that 4 sporting events over the next 10 days will bring 280 million euros to Spain - it's not just the UK that hosts great sporting occasions. http://www.expansion.com/2013/05/03/...367599950.html
