You may be the thread starter, but that post is way off topic.

No more Xmas recipes please.

Unless you have a passport from another EU country, you may well have to seriously look at the requirements for you to move and live there. UK will be out of transition period, and there may well be a few more hoops for you to get through.

Can someone recommend a hire car company.
Storage in around Malaga.

Velez Malaga & Torrox Costa are lovely areas - you wont "need" to speak alot of spanish, the odd word would be handy of course, but getting out and about and doing a bit of shopping / going for a coffee etc, you´ll pick words up easily - you can comunicate easily with anyone, using the google translate webpage or app on your phone. (www.translate.google.com)

The best bet is to come over, spend a day in different places, see what you like, see where you feel is right. You cant really see how a place is when you are looking at your computer screen. You said that you are not a beach person, but you dont have to lie on the sand .. its just nice to be by the sea / walk on the promenade.

Theres dog kennels all over the place - theres one in los puertas, near cajiz / 10 minutes from velez. A quick google will find them.

Storage .. tons of it. theres a massive sign by the ITV for a new "trasteros" place, from €23 / week. again, a quick google - if you are looking at the area of velez for example, theres probably something on the industrial estate?
