Default Moving to southern spain

My partner and I have lived in gran canaria for the past 3 1/2 years and now want to relocate to Spain, preferably not far from the sea and with good weather. We are retired and want to live in a village, not remote up in the hills. We're coming for a week to Torox at the end of September to have a drive around. Anyone any advice where we can start looking, no touristy places please. Any information will be appreciated. 🤗🤗

Of course, it depends on what you mean by touristy. The whole of the south coast is a tourist mecca for all nationalities. Unless you go inland a way, you will be lucky to find what you want.

At the moment the whole south coast is heaving with tourists.

Take a look at Antequera. Beautiful town, not really "touristy", reasonable infrastrucutre and has the advantage of being only about 45 mins from Malaga with all the great communications - airport and train.
