Cool Moving Services

Hi, I am a UK resident moving to Madrid to attend university. Does anyone recommend a good method to move a small apartment from London to Madrid?

We are considering buying a *cheap* car in London and driving to Spain, however this seems to be a bit of a nightmare. Unless we can find someone selling their Spain registered car, we reckon we will have to use a moving company.

Any input- either on buying a car or using a moving service - would be greatly appreciated!

Use a moving service, buying a cheap UK reg car for the journey means that you will lose the cost as it will be prohibitive to matriculate, and almost impossible to sell, buying a Spanish reg car is fraught with possible difficulties as Spanish law state that fines belong to the car, so you could find yourself out of pocket due to unpaid fines plus there will be costs involved in getting it registered.

If you are going to be in Madrid the public service transport structure is excellent so you may not even need a car when you are there. least of all an old UK car .
Pay the one-off of the removal, search the web there are plenty of companies who do the run London to Madrid.
