Moving to Panama
A British expat from Malaga, guest at our B&B told us that a lot of Brits are thinking about moving elsewhere due to the high cost of living in Spain and other factors.
Do you agree? Besides cost of living, what other factors made you think about leaving Spain.
And if you have been contemplating Panama for relocation, what are your main concerns when you hear 'Panama'.
We look forward to hearing from you

...and distance, educational standards & world reputation. None of which apart from distance may have any basis in fact/truth, but they'd be concerns which would make me look & research long & hard before making any such move. Anyway, for me with family reasons Argentina would be the better bet.

Re: Moving to Panama
But upon reading the rules I noticed I'm violating rule # 11 and I'll open a new account under which to post.
Anyway, if somebody ever needs some info on Panama, feel free to write me.
By the way, there's a British school, an International School (offering an IB) and an American school As far weather as the weather goes, I guess if you don't like the sun and an occasional shower in the rainy season, don't come to Panama.

Re: Moving to Panama
Jacques,
You're absolutely right. If you're on a budget and especially if you have kids, don't go to Panama. It's not really as comfortable in such a situation and there is no safety net like in the UK.
Of course, medical insurance is a lot cheaper and there are good hospitals and you don't pay tax on foreign income, no property tax on newly built apartments/homes but still, it's not for everybody.

Thanks for the feedback. That's all we wanted. I'm not selling real estate, off-shore services and don't even have a link to our site so I'm not sure what's so spammy about my question.

Spanish connection,..no?
Well worth a try anyway.
Had I been just a few years younger I might have fancied it out there just for a change, or even Belize seems quite interesting.
Never mind ,just a thought.
