Moving (hopefully) To Albir End Of Feb Next Year
Hi, We should be moving to Albir or Benidorm at the end of February 2017. I have a job sorted and am in the process of looking for an apartment (i have someone in Albir who will view for us). We have a dog and cockatiel that we are taking. We are going to drive down but im unsure of whether to buy a trailer and take our stuff with us in the hope of selling the trailer when we get there, or getting a removal company to do it. We are not taking furniture mainly clothes, work equipment, some electrical appliances and misc household stuff (ornaments and the like). As for the car (Mitsubishi Outlander) ill make a decision on whether to part exchange it for a Spanish registered one or reregister it. Any advice on the points ive made or in fact ny advice at all will be greatly appreciated.

I think you have it mostly covered. Albir is a pleasant town and we often spend time there but it is a very quiet place at this time of year. If you like a lively nightlife then you will need to travel to Benidorm. It's only a short bus ride.
A lot of rental apartments won't allow pets so that may be a drawback but otherwise you shouldn't have a problem.

selling a trailer there might well be a problem, trailers are registered as separate units from the car, so it would need to be matriculated, not too sure if there would be that many people looking for trailer that would cost money to get on the road.

Thanks for the reply, the issue you bought was one that concerned me. Do all trailers have to go through this or is it up to a certain weight and size ?.

Hi Dave, When you say "trailer" do you mean a caravan or a small 6x4 type?

When we did our tour of Spain, some years back, we got the ferry to Bilbao then had Ibis stopover at Zaragoza before making our way to Benidorm. Enjoyed the trip.
