moving to Gibraltar
Hi everyone/anyone,
My family and are are considering a move to Gibraltar (son 12 and daughter one). My son's at secondary school and would like to know more about them, also nurseries for my daughter.
I'm a hairdresser and my partner is a builder, would there be jobs available for us.
Also not to sure if we'd be better living in la linea (or surrounding areas) as looks like rental property is that bit cheaper.
Would love to here from someone who was in my situation and tell me what life is like??
Many thanks x

Re: moving to Gibraltar
Have you been to Gibraltar or La Linea? A few days visit will surely make your mind up. The education will depend on where you live, Spain or Gib. Realistically you need to reside in Gib to have access to free education, if in Spain you would need to consider Spanish state school or private education.
In my honest opinion if moving with a family to either Spain or Gib you would need to secure a job before moving and have a fair amount of cash as a backup. Unsure about hairdressing but I'm sure building opportunities will be limited due to the size of Gib and it goes without saying a Spanish builder would always employ a Spanish worker first, not to mention the problems with the language barrier.
What would be the purpose of the move? We are currently in the process of moving for a change of lifestyle.
