Hello,
I'm thinking of moving to GIB this year... I'm reading confusing articles around the WEB... can someone confirm how it is there at the moment? is there really so difficult to get a job? please someone.... help....

It was wet cold and windy a couple of hours ago.
Work wise it depends on what you do. One large Spanish building company operating in Gibraltar has not paid it's workers for five months.

Thanks for your reply... well I work in finance and my husband is a property lettings advisor in London.... but what about things like bars/hotels/restaurants... is there a need for those?
I'm not fusy I just have enough of constant rain in London...
and I've heard about those workers... all I can say I'm with them... I've been there before and know the feeling...

crikey Gib is a hot topic today,
i thought (some) people used to come on this forum and (unjustly) slag the place off?? 
The place still "pulls" me towards it and i cant wait to visit again, just cant put my finger on why, but hey ho............

well... exactly... more I read more I want to see it on my own eyes... I'm going there for 2 weeks in May-June... hopefully I will be able to answer all my questions upon this visit....

The property situation personally speaking, an overabundance of Estate Agents who appear to be struggling / closing in a small overpriced market. Most of them were surviving on the Spanish market which has collapsed.
Bar work is normally available

...best advice I could give you is Gib is like Marmite, you love it or you hate it.......
.......although Marmite prob tastes nicer but there you go.
Its an experience, even for a day, go fir it, nowt to lose.
