Default Mossies

I have just read on another thread something that would be very interesting to Me.
It said that there is a electric mossie killer, but not a chemical one, but it makes a high sound and kills them off.
Now the reason why ......My other half refuses to have one that is chemical ............ now he doesnt get stung as much as I do ....... so this is a sore point .............. But if there was one that sends out a sound I can have them
Please let it be so
Any one know of one ???????????????????

One of the best mossie deterrents is Avon skin so soft body lotion, there is something in it that they do not like! Have heard about the electric ones but do not know much about them. We do have some plug in ones that you put refills in, but have not used them for ages. Put net over the windows and that helped keep them out.

Hi all,
I have seen them advertised Gallerie9, but can't think for the moment where I have seen the advertisement. ( that will be the age problem again!) We are still in UK, but will look around to see if I can find the advert.
The ones I've seen advertised were also supposed to deter spiders, which is definately OK by me! Will update if I have any luck

Hi Gallarie9, just had a quick google and came up with this. It is a bit expensive, but might give you a starting place to look!
http://www.pestrepellerultimate.com/google.htm Dont know if this will work from Spain, but I tried organic repellent, and also spider reppelent. The mossie ones were bringing up chemical repellents. Good luck!

I have been told that taking Vitamin B6 which gives off a smell (not dected by humans) but deters the Mossies. I have been told this really does work,
could be worth trying, certainly cheaper

All you need is plenty of garlic and one of those electric zapper bats, as soon as you put it on they fly off to torment somewhere else. PIC HERE

Hi
Avon SSS is good but don't get it on furniture or leather. I know this to my cost!!! I was sold a product in the chemist in Spain called Haylie [may have spelt that wrongly] it is good. The Vit B tablets must be started a few days before you arrive. I use the lot!!! next thing to try is a burka.

Did you mean Halley? Thats what I used last summer and it worked a treat. It can only be bought from the pharmacies, and it doesnt take you breath away with the smell like other repellants. I still got bit with the Avon skin so soft.

It is the VitB in the marmite that does the trick so for anyone who doesn't like marmite take the tablets.
