Yeah they seem to be in stealth mode until they have already got you and it's only when they're trying to carry around a litre of your blood they start to whine a bit! If they're hanging around you for a meal they are always females. At least you know when you'vwe squished one that already got you their next generation with a taste for YOUR blood won't make it.
