Mortgages in Spain
Been looking at buying in Spain for a while now and after hoping to buy outright decided it would be best to use a mortgage. Now this is where it might get tricky though.
I currently rent a house out in UK which Im planning on clearing the mortgage on soon so it will be generating an income each month.
The house I live in is mortgage free in the UK and I'd be looking to split my time maybe 40/60 spain / uk for now.
I have enough money to buy a place in spain but i dont want to blow my savings so looking to do a mortgage. but the trouble is i don't have a regular income at the moment.
so my question basically is how hard will it be in Spain for me? Do you need to be a resident? will they be more relaxed if I can prove I have money set aside in case the worse happens?
im mid 30's btw

I think it will be hard for the reasons you have identified. But only one way to find out......
