I think that the OP was saying that they work full time but the employer only gives them a contract for a few hours , not that there are two part time jobs.

My fault, I didn't make it clear. The second part-time job would be feasible on the lesser hours declared on the full time one, but may not actually exist – only to bolster the declared income on the mortgage application.

The door security at Pasha's disco are always paid cash in hand, more black money I suppose.
