The best my previous machine managed was a few measly pesetas, so this one is definitely a big step upmarket.

The wonders of modern technology never cease to amaze me.

Having said that, this particular machine is Spanish, so maybe that explains why it prefers to deal in efectivo.

AHA.... WE HAVE FOUND THE CAUSE OF THE EURO CRISIS.

DD has been stuffing all the missing billions in the washing machine. It wasn't corrupt politicians/bankers.... it was Dick's zanussi that stole the money

Not guilty m'lud.

Although this machine is a step up on the last one which I left behind in TF, I didn't buy it new as it came with the house, together with all the fittings and furniture,10 yrs supply of firewood, a huge assortment of tools and equipment, even all the ornaments plus a huge collection of personal items,..... the previous owners having departed suddenly in the middle of the night, leaving virtually everything behind, .....no kidding.

Since I inherited it, the machine has operated perfectly on only one setting.
I've never had cause to look at its inner workings or wether or not it has a nice fat stash inside.
Maybe tomorrow I'll try pressing a different button and see if it will spit out a few 500s or possibly a bit of foreign currency.
Meantime I keep it in a very safe and secure place under lock and key, as word seems to be getting around and I've even had an offer or two.
