A moan about Sabadell

I have had an account with Sabadell for 23 years - I see this month they have debited a service charge of 60€ but only credited 50€ back - so OK 10€ is not a lot but I have insurance, investment with them and shares in Sabadell.
But what makes me mad is that for new customers opening an online-only account, they are prepared to offer incentives including interest and free banking - but existing customers cannot apply. Furthermore, some of their conditions for free banking are impossible for us mature customers to comply with - ie age restrictions and taking out a mortgage.
Yes, I already use Wise and could probably switch over to them entirely and close Sabadell or move to BBVA which appears to be offering free banking. Still, I just wish Sabadell would not penalise long-serving good customers.
But I suppose I am 'old school' in expecting good service from them for a long-time customer.
If you bank with Sabadell I suggest you check your account to see which charges they have levied on you.

I don't know why they did that with your account - both my husband and I had the €60 debited from our accounts within the last few days, and immediately credited back in full. Perhaps you need to check with them, there may be an explanation. Btw, neither of us has any insurance or investment products with Sabadell nor a mortgage.

Some banks put through a yearly charge for the credit card and then refund the money if you either have some of their products such as insurance or if you have your pension paid into the account every month.

Thanks also Rosemary - this may be so but I do not have a credit card. So I am still not feeling happy with them.

I also was charged €60 fee and had it put back same day. I don't have any insurances or mortgage etc but I do have a couple of private pensions and my UK government pension paid directly into the account.
