What is your point here? I was pregnant at 16 and a grandmother at 45. Where exactly do you get off judging a family as disfunctional (sic) and bed hopping as a way of life for the adults? Do you know these parents personally in order to make these judgements?

We usually don't correct spelling and grammar on this forum, unless it is to make a pun or joke to lighten things up.

The information already in the public domain is sufficient to describe them as dysfunctional. Unfortunately I think there will be even more horrible revelations at the trial. |
Re: Missing girl 'Tia'
I must agree with Dorothy that there is nothing intrinsically wrong with being pregnant at 16.

I havent read all the info, but if her step dad is being accused of her murder, then that sounds dysfunctional enough for me Jo xxx |

I had two children by the time I was 21 and single by the time I was 24. Judgements are fine for those who know what is meant IMO - In fact on paper, my life sounds pretty rough, altho We're not!!! Sadly, there is an element of a feral society in the UK and they have trade marks and traits which shouldnt be ignored. No we're not all the same, but some of us have certain elements of this sort of behaviour!!!

It is nothing whatsoever to do with age nor BE members reproduction history. |

Jo xxx But it is not true that being pregnant at 16 is intrinsically bad. Unless it's your third I suppose. |

Well it's certainly true that the well educated and more affluent don't usually start families so young. But if you do it doesn't make you dysfunctional or wrong.

I am sure you have been a model mother and grandmother. The comment isnt one for you to take personally, even if you have, as it isnt being made about you, as you well know. However, you also know what it is I am saying !! in this particular instance, irrespective of the spelling of the word, this particular family do not appear to the outside world as loving and family orientated as you may be - as being stated by other posters, they would appear to be on the outer edge of the normally accepted definition of "family". that social services are already diving for their comfort blankets and carrying out "case reviews" gives an indication of where all this may go. I will not apologise for my misspelling of a word, but I will ensure that I do not misspell that word again, which if you should stay longer than to take a personal swipe at me, you will find is a very rare lapse. have a bonza day |
