We rear lamb, beef, chicken - all home killed - the best stress free meat you will ever eat - scuse me for my ignorant behaviour but the cave is looking good from here.

When I was a young boy, I had to catch the chickens before my grandmother put their heads on a chopping block and swung the axe. There was nothing stress free about those home-killed chickens, they ran about the yard without heads, while the heads were jumping about on the floor. Yuk.

Puts me off a bit.

How many of you have bought the little suckling pigs, cooked them and can still eat the meat.Probable tasty when its meat but the whole dead animal is too much for me.
Where do you think meat comes from?

Its so 99% of Brits who live here can buy the right meat. Would you have us starve to death or become veggies cause the Spanish prefer to use there own language?

It not an uncommon occurrence. As for never being seen again, most of them can be seen on TV every day - running various countries.

No Im not a veggie-I used to be and my eldest daughter is.

I cant just look on animals as meat.

They can make much better friends than the human variety of animals.

Maybe I should take up eating humans instead.

In around ten hours time I’m going to start the new year off as a vegan. We are both going to eat 12 grapes each.

At the moment the cruel woman is experimenting in the kitchen with a new curry sauce from an Iceland tin. The smell is drifting through to the computer room. I don’t suppose it will do any harm to finish off this unpleasant year with an Iceland chicken curry.

when we first moved to spain,we lived in garrucha. one day my oh sent me to the caprabo opposite the guarda civil offices to get some mince for a delicious(have to say that!!) spag bol she was going to do.
having no spanish,i was dreading asking for it. got to the counter, great big sweating butcher behind it, loads of lovely meat on display. saw a big tray of mince, job done i thought. i pointed to the tray and raised my eyebrows, always works.
butcher asked me(in spanish of course) how much i wanted, and i paniced and held my hands about a foot apart,so he gave me a foot of mince. god i was fed up of mince within a month i can tell you.
also around this time my oh bought a pack of beautiful seron jamon, and fried it cos she thought it was bacon. don't ever do this,it loses all its taste. ole. happy new year to you all.
