What I did was when I was picking up someone was to wait somewhere in the car until they got through and then got them to send a text when they are through and standing outside of the departures - note not arrivals -much better. Get them to go up in the lift to arrivals when they are there get them to text you and then wait outside and then just pull up and pick them up that was very easy:D

Re: Malaga T3 Arrivals
Thats OK they can see when he arrives through the glass doors, They can just wait inside after they have send the text and look out for them, or even wait until someone comes in and fetches them:D

Trouble is he doesn't know what they look like and he'll be on his own - but I'll suggest it to him :)

Re: Malaga T3 Arrivals
Ive done a few pick ups with the new T3. It is not that bad at all.
OK you park in T2 area. But there is a sky walk thing with travelators which you can walk down which makes the walking much less. Theres screens there which tell you the status of the flights. In the arrivals hall is a big glass door and people come out from there. You can stand and look out for them. However, what i found is that with the amount of people. I somehow missed them and theyve been outside. As they come out from airside, the general flow of traffic doesnt send them straight through to where people are waiting. But to their right to the exit doors. There is a set of exit doors for arriving passengers, which lead them to the outside bit. On every occasions I picked someone up, ive had a text saying. Im outside! I totally missed seeing them coming through. So wait outside for them. The doors are easilly identifiable as theres a huge no entry sign on them and people are coming out. You will spot your friends and they will spot you easily doing that. Then simply up the lift, down the sky walk and youre back at the car in less than 5 minutes. Its far far better than it was when people were arriving in T2, and was having to go outside navigating luggage past people waiting for taxis and for busses then dodging taxis crossing the road etc. Big big big thumbs up from me for the new terminal its great! |
Re: Malaga T3 Arrivals
That is why the departure hall is best. Tell them the make and colour of the car, I found it quite easy to pick people up from the departures lounge the arrivals lounge is a nightmare:eek:
