Yes I recently moved from Barcelona to Benalmadena and noticed everything is half price down here

Housing rentals, tapas, canyas, a nice meal. All half price compared to Barcelona which means you can have a good quality life on a limited budget.

Ipso facto says you need double the salary in the city in order to have the same standard of life..

Less opportunities for making money though

As my original post suggests I think i would much prefer the coastal living but as yet had no oppurtunities present themselves.

The hours of work ive been offered are 0800 until 1800 with 1330 until 1500 for lunch so not too bad for family time, ideally id like to commute by motorbike but not sure how practical that will be.

If anyone can get me a job in valencia then im there

On the motorbike forums I read Spring is always a fun time for madrileƱos because they can take their bikes out again - I don't think year-round riding is feasible.

Maybe they're just pansies.
