Lost in the Post?
Hey everyone,
I need to pick your brains. I had my bag stolen last week with my phone, bank card etc. Luckily I have insurance so my Mum sent me a new phone at the start of last week and my boyfriend sent my new bank card. Neither have arrived but in the meantime I have had a postcard. Has anyone else had stuff go missing in the post? Another mystery is that we dont have a letterbox. I am always working in the mornings so I gusess the postie just buzzes all the flats until someone lets him in to leave post in the hall. Confused! Jenny |

My stuff arrived yesterday :) Thanks for your help! |
Re: Lost in the Post?
There Spanish post isn`t cr¿p after all :D :D
Nice one. |
Re: Lost in the Post?
It's very strange because I find that the postal service, both ways, between Spain and the UK is excellent but that it takes a letter about three weeks to get from Málaga to AlmerÃa!

Re: Lost in the Post?
I´ve been here since May and I´ve never had a problem before. I have sent and received packages which usually take three days max. I hear that recorded delivery from the UK to Spain is quite expensive though.

our post normally gets left tucked behind the reja of the front door. considering the area in which we live, parcels often get lost in the post  |

Hi Patsy
Dont be put off by Spanish Ebay we have used them and so far all gone well, even down to the point of a rocking chair had all the wrong parts and the seller immediately dispatched the correct parts, sounds like you were unlucky. pwwm |

I'm still emailing the seller but not really getting anywhere. It's so frustrating! The item I bought was for a birthday present on July 27th. I've had to go and buy the same item in the shops! My friend said she'll buy the item from me when it arrives (IF??) so I'll only lose the 14.75€ postage but that's not really the issue. I'm giving it until Wednesday and if it doesn't show will post some negative feedback. It won't help anyone though as the seller has decided to keep feedback private. Wonder why? Thanks for your message though. At least it's not all bad. Patsy |

I won't deal with anyone who has private feedback ... if he has to hide it then its probably bad. I don't deal with anyone who has repetitive bad feedback for non deliveries or anything like that. And I almost always pay by paypal when I'm buying, because at least you have some kind of protection. If you had paid by paypal then you could have filed for an item not received, and if he couldn't provide a tracked delivery system or signature then you would have been refunded in full. |

I normally ONLY deal with paypal but the only option for this particular item was to transfer the money direct. My bank has been helpful and told me the date it was credited to the account etc. I have just received another email from the seller telling me they will tell everything on Monday... a whole month after I have purchased it. The problem is, I don't speak enough Spanish and the seller speaks no English. Still, we all have to learn from our errors!! Patsy |

Re: Lost in the Post?
Ah but Mitzy. In re-reading that old post, memories have come flooding back to you of how life in England was at the time. The move to Spain. Getting the house and everything up until where you are today. So not only have I resurrected an old thread; I've provided you with the psychological kickstart to re-evaluate the last 12 months of your life.
All for only £500. What a bargain! PM me so I can give you details of where to send the cheque. And....... of course you're welcome:thumbup: |
