Re: LOSS OF BBC AND ITV CHANNELS ON SKY
i think i have always said that in my area (Costa Blnca North) , then you tend to loose bbc2 (3,4, c4) at around 5 -6 pm, but in other areas the signal gets stronger in other areas (like torre) from that time...
it could be due to the "wobble" (its not in a perfectly geosync orbit!) of the satellite in relation to the position on earth that caused the horizontal; astra 2d frequrencies (where bbc2 sits)to shift more than than the vertical frequencies (where bbc1 sits) yes, the further north in spain you go the smaller the dish required...in fact an 80cm dish should be of from a level with barcelona for bbc1 and 2 for all day...(but i am not an expert in that locaity but many happy campers report this on another site i am on!) - as they are coser to the area where the astra 2d signals are focused on..... go down the greece and every one has at least a 3m+ dish to get bbc and itvs...the signal is really weak down there... |
Re: LOSS OF BBC AND ITV CHANNELS ON SKY
Thanks satandpcguy, it's not a problem that bothers me I was just curious to know why I have the the channels when others loose theirs, and as I normally only watch during "peak" hours I'm happy with this.
BTW it's only since I upgraded the single Invacom LNB to a quad that I've been able to get theese channels |
