Very good actually, just what we are looking for :-) We were in Marbella in June and thought it might get quite unpleasant in August but we've always got the option to come back to the French Alps for Jul/Aug, leave the tourists to the baking heat!
but this looks a little more tolerable. Maybe not much winter open water swimming but i'm sure there are proper swimming pools open all year (not like here!)

. Mediterranean climate sounds fine to me and even a cold sunny day can be great.

Nothing wrong with Almeria. Although we live inland (Seville province) we a go there on holiday several times a year. Cabo de Gata is fantastic and the beaches are pristine. Ok so there are quite a lot of " plastic greenhouses" but the climate there is very mild and it is economical to live. Wherever you chose, please let us know. We love celtic music and although rank amateurs we do play our own instruments. Having lived in Scotland for 25 years we miss the ceilidhs. ( you will get the significance of " teuchter" )
