Looking for some advice on long term rental properties close to alicante.
Hi
Me and my husband are looking for long term rental properties close to alicante. My husband works in uganda and due to new tax laws we are looking for a home from home in spain.... we are in our mid forties and wouldnt like something too remote...must have satelite t.v due to my husband's desire to watch t.v when he gets a break...fed up of sun after working in uganda lol..he also likes to nip down the local so somewhere with a bit of life all year round would be good too...would be grateful for any feedback.:

Hi lolaweb,
Welcome to BritishExpats, we are so pleased to have you on board and I hope you enjoy being part of our little virtual community.
I don't know anything about Spain I'm afraid as I've only ever been there on my hols, but I've moved your thread into our Spain forum for you and I'm sure that other members will be along shortly to give you some tips. Everyone is so great here at sharing info and experiences and I'm sure you will also make some new friends along the way.
If you ever get stuck on anything site related please don't hesitate to ask myself, our moderators Fred James and Mitzyboy and our Concierge The Oddities and we will be happy to help you in anyway that we can.
Once again welcome.
Sue

As Concierges for the Spanish section of BE we would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Please let us know if you need any further help.
