I've just been following a resent thread and the original OP stated that he had problems securing a long term rental
Has anyone else had any problems finding/securing long term rental?
I've looked many times on internet sites including newspaper sites like Costa Blanca News and Around Town etc and there seems to be plenty of places available for rental.
I understand and accept there are deposits etc to pay up front which may be expensive initially.
This enquiry is for the Costa Blanca area. Can anyone shed any light on the subject?

I would echo your comments. There are many properties available in Costa Blanca South. Any estate agent will be able to show you several homes to match your requirements / budget.

I would say use a professional agent who offers you a proper legal contract. Fees depend on what has been agreed with the owner - I paid 50% of monthly rent in agents fees (and they gave an excellent service and did lots of extras) and one month deposit.
There is a huge availability as landlords are renting for now hoping to sell later and other people are letting their 2nd properties to generate income.
For fiscal residents there can be tax relief on rents paid - subject to terms and conditions.

So very pleased for you. Our experience is totally different. But whatever we might have been unlucky. However the agent who wholesaled our villa then fell out with another over commission and we suffered.
We have now placed averts for villas to rent.
