Default Life Insurance recomendations

I want to take out a term life insurance policy here in Spain, but unlike motor or house insurance, it's hard to get a good recommendation, because an insurance company can only be recomended or otherwise once they've paid out.

So as sensitively as I can, I'm asking if anyone can recommend a company that they've actually used for life insurance and have had no problems when it came to claiming?...and no I'm not considering knocking anyone off.......yet, not until I get the policy in my grubby paw

joking, just joking!!

At the end of the day as long as you stick with the large companies you should have no problems. Life insurance is probably the simplest insurance policy you can get as you're either dead or you're not, no inbetweens

lol, well if I was in the UK I'd know who to go to, but here in Spain we're always hearing people raving about such and such an insurance company being *fab*...until ,... they make a claim, and then very often get the complete runaround.

Soooooooo, life insurance being probably the most important insurance there is, I was hoping for some recomendations

What a good question.
I hadn't really considered it as we kept our UK stuff running.

I'm guessing the normal big companies will be able to cover you here but will be interested to see what responses you get

I presently share an office with a Dutch Insurance Company (within easy reach of Quesada) and they had an English couple in who also wanted term life assurance (hopefully it wasn't you ) I can't remember what they were quoted and I don't know which Insurance Company but I can remember thinking it was very expensive.

It depends on whether you are full time resident in Spain and whether you have a UK bank account. Either way Friends Provident International are quite good.
