Default Lengua for the vacaciones ?

I'm struggling to find online resources to use the summer to help 10yo revitalise some of his not-terribly good results this past few months. Vocabulary and creative writing mainly, though books to get him reading happily would help too. Anyone any suggestions?

he could maybe write a diary?

why not just go to the library or bookshop & see what takes his fancy - they are usually sorted by age as well as category

any magazine really

this is a good site for up to 12 years old - educational games across the curriculum- you have to pay, but it's only 24€ a year http://www.nicoland.es/es/nicoland.asp
