Rosemary, DONT, i am now reflecting on all the things i have done wrong in my 50 years..... and feeling guilty.

I have no problem been honest about all this because i can afford to pay the bill, but i do understand now that others who struggle cant afford to be honest.

and we all fall at some point, my uncle was very wealthy but passed away young

Unfortunately Rosemary it is in this day and age but I am not of this age and neither I believe are you.

Anyone who advocates dishonesty should look in a mirror and ask how they would feel if they were being screwed.

Fred, i agree but do you not see the comparison to Lance Armstrong and the fact that as all the banks and blue collar workers are working the system we have to do likewise just to survive.

Neither do I, and as the OP has sufficient funds to repay the debt, then perhaps repaying it would be the best thing. In years gone by it may just have been OK not to pay, and the banks etc just didn't bother, but now, with the problems with the Spanish ecconomy, they are likely to be less forgiving, and they will want to get every penny, or cent, back.
