Hi, can anyone help me find a place to buy flat pack kitchen cupboards and work tops around DN area. Also i need to buy a dishwasher, so would appreciate a store that prices are low. thanks, Christine

try IKEA Seville and Malaga and ???? .... their website shows you designs and costs. They also have online kitchen design facilities with costings.

Always try your local Spanish kitchen shop first. Our local shop's prices were staggeringly low and no charge for installation!

Curious as to whether you found what you wanted and if so where?

We need two base units that have to be cheap because they are only for the washroom and so far have not been successful. Found just the thing at IZI's but they only had one white unit and one wood coloured unit and they would not order any for us so we are feeling really frustrated at the moment.

Not sure where you are Rosemary, but have you tried Leroys or Brico Depot on the CV35? Or BricoGenio by Carrefour also on the CV 35?

Thanks for that Tim. Cannot believe that it is so hard to buy basic cheap rubbish wheras good kitchens are easy to buy.

Rosemary, you have got to have somewhere in a town near you that sells 'cascos' and all the other bits for kitchens. Here in the south most wood stores sell them although to get a good range you should look for a wood store that actually specialises in kitchen stuff. Just have a quick look in the Yellow Pages for 'Almacenes de madera' and you will probably come accross ads that tell you they supply kitchen accessories etc.

Hope this helps.

We have just returned from Brico Depot where we found the perfect sized cupboards for our washroom and they were extremely cheap too. So a huge thank you to you for the information. Managed to drag OH over to Bonaire whilst we were there so not so cheap really but more enjoyable than a trip to Lee Roy Merlin's!!!!!

We have an excellent almacenes de madera in our town who we will use when we eventually replace our kitchen but they did not have anything suitable (or cheap enough) for our washroom.

Found cheap and cheerful at Brico Depot, so can start to crack the whip again now and get the washroom knocked about and fixed.

Thanks for your advice, very welcome and helpful.

That's great Rosemary. Bricos is much better value than Leroys, was I believe part of the same group as B+Q in the UK. Did you go to the one on the CV 35 or the one by Bonaire?

My OH said that he agrees with you totally about them being better value than Lee Roy's. We went to the one by Bonaire so a quick clothes shopping trip was included and it is the one nearest to where we live.

Thanks again for the info.
