I watched some interviews with the old brigade earlier and saw that the blind hatred was back as though it had never gone away. It had nothing to do with justice nor Adams nor the unfortunate victim, it was all about centuries old wars between Catholics and Protestants.

Like most of us on a British forum, I've lived through the Troubles, in fact it would be more accurate to say I'm living through the troubles. If I lived in Belfast or Glasgow, I would be more affected by them than here in Spain, but I could visit bars only a few miles away where the Troubles are still being re-enacted.

I wish it wasn't so and for the sake of my grandchildren growing up in the UK I would wish internment of silence, not on the former fighters, but on those who pass inane comments from the sidelines.

We need Bill Clinton back again, and soon.

Like I said, right now, in this instance, I could not give a rats arse about the tit for tat crapstorm that the ignorant Irish can't drag themselves out of because of pride and stupidity, what I care about is this case, this actual case where someone who has blood on his hands is now being called to account. If, tomorrow, someone from the other side gets arrested and is called to account then I will jump for joy, until then this is the story I am interested in.

The deal was done by Tony Blair to stop the London bombs anyone found guilty by the courts will only do 2 years.. even if they have done 20 murders..Good Friday agreement.

Adams was exempted from that "agreement" because of his constant denial of any involvement in the IRA. They had an analyst on the news earlier talking about it and possible reasons as to why he handed himself in.

I know that thousands of people have escaped the bollocks of Northern Ireland by moving away and many of them are right here in Spain, IRA and UDA alike. I was going to say ex IRA and ex UDA, but there's no such thing as ex from those organisations, you join them for life and traitors are buried in some Irish bog if found out.
