Jonsol on tour
#1
Just finished giving Jonsol a guided tour of Oliva and Piles in the rain. Not a good introduction to the area as he looked like a drowned rat by the time we finished
Spent ages looking around Piles for a house he was interested in, to no avail!
Shown him a local internet cafe so no doubt he will update you on his search progress tomorrow.

how many people really want to live in Piles?, I know it's not pronounced the english way, but all those in the UK writing to you would look at it that way, either living in a pile, which can mean good or bad, or those nasty irritating ones that need preparation H

Yes, Piles is a bit of a naff name in Uk pronunciation isn't it ... believe its pronounced peiles with the es pronounced as in escape

As an update, last heard of salivating over a very nice property he's found in Piles. Has he bought it ........ or has he scarpered ..... lets wait and see
He was supposed to ring me yesterday .... has he been abducted?

Update:
Jonsol's bought himself a town house in Piles
You're all invited to the house warming (he didn't actually tell me to tell you that, but I'm sure it'll be fine

We live in Hope....This is the first time I have visited the forum since arriving, so am catching up with the latest news. Have not bought an English paper since arriving but have heard that the U.K. weather is terrible, hope it clears up by Monday.

Did you go for the one you mentioned initially or was it a different property?
Have been through the town a few times on the way to Oliva/Gandia and do also remember stopping there once or twice. Very quiet and traditional if I remember rightly.

21 per cent! That does surprise me as it seems so very Spanish when you wander the quiet streets. Just shows how misleading a snapshot visit can be.
