Jonsol on tour

Just finished giving Jonsol a guided tour of Oliva and Piles in the rain. Not a good introduction to the area as he looked like a drowned rat by the time we finished :)

Spent ages looking around Piles for a house he was interested in, to no avail!

Shown him a local internet cafe so no doubt he will update you on his search progress tomorrow.

.

how many people really want to live in Piles?, I know it's not pronounced the english way, but all those in the UK writing to you would look at it that way, either living in a pile, which can mean good or bad, or those nasty irritating ones that need preparation H

You're all invited to the house warming (he didn't actually tell me to tell you that, but I'm sure it'll be fine :D )

ITS ME..! ! ! ...Yes as Mitzyboy has said I have put the deposit down on a house in Piles, now wait to see if the Spanish lottery will pay for it tonight or Saturday, or at a last chance Sunday:thumbup: We live in Hope....
This is the first time I have visited the forum since arriving, so am catching up with the latest news. Have not bought an English paper since arriving but have heard that the U.K. weather is terrible, hope it clears up by Monday.:p

Did you go for the one you mentioned initially or was it a different property?

Have been through the town a few times on the way to Oliva/Gandia and do also remember stopping there once or twice. Very quiet and traditional if I remember rightly.

Yes, its the one I flew out to see. It seems , looking at a recent local paper, that 21 % of the population of Piles are British ! !, and as for the house warming , well , I will just go to the sun terrace at the back of the house and I wont hear a thing, will disconnect the bell as well ! ! .....visiters will soon get bored waiting outside, ha , ha.:p

21 per cent! That does surprise me as it seems so very Spanish when you wander the quiet streets. Just shows how misleading a snapshot visit can be.

Have now discovered that my next door neighbour is also British, and it seems, next door to them might be, heard this from someone who seems to be the local gossip, you can always tell them whatever language they speak in , even if you cant understand all of what they they are saying ! ! .:p Hope you have arranged some nice weather for my return home today, it was 18 degs. here yesterday....
