My husband invites them in & argues with them, or as he say's has a talk as he knows his bible, I am Jewish so they don't bother me.
Now they come every Wednesday without fail which is a pain.

I know a few Witnesses via work.
Dead easy, tell them that you've been disfellowshipped because you could never believe in God and that you haven't spoken to anyone in the community (including family) since.
They will never return.

They will find you. I'm sure Lord Lucan really only did it to avoid their Saturday morning knock (maybe Shergar too?)
Do the disfellowship thing. It's a long term solution and it's way better than vanishing for life.

I find that on opening the door to any likely church goers a very vocal F*** OFF works wonders! They stand there stunned like rabbits, then immediately retreat as the door slams in their faces.
Another useful tactic in shopping malls, you are approached by those people touting applications for credit cards, just tell them you were declared bankrupt several months ago. That also works wonders.
