I'VE GOT A SILLY QUESTION

Quite agree. Never had a problem as so many shops on the coast to chose from. Up here in the mountains it is a little more difficult (Altiplano area of Granada). But if you want to travel a bit and like IKEA there is one just off the A7 at Murcia city where they sell all the same stuff as the UK IKEA.

It depends what time of year you are coming to Spain. If it is winter then you will definately need a duvet, we have a 15 tog duvet on our bed. Im not sure, but you may need to bring pillows. We live on the Portuguese Spanish border so can get English size pillows from Portugal, but I think you can only get the long pillows in Spain.
In Gandia there is a Carrefour which sells everything that you need in that line.

mind you there is a plus side if he gets travel sick on the boat he can use them
Have been looking at the memory foam pillows and thinking of bringing those with me

and that we are moving to the outback in Spain, I have read on here that kettles and toasters are hard to come by is this true or can I buy those there also.

I've never seen kettles, but toasters can be bought in electrical departments.

We have had a memory foam mattress on our "King" bed in the UK for about 9 months now and we do notice that it is hotter to sleep on than the previous pocket sprung one.
Thinking about what we do on our move to Spain will you report back on how it affects your sleep comfort.
We have seen them on our visits but wondered if they might be too hot for comfort. Kath suggests that we would be OK if we had two single beds but I am not sure about that solution.
Regards,
John.
