I have never had a problem buying bedding, towels, soft furnishings etc. here, no different to buying in the UK except you pay in euros.

Quite agree. Never had a problem as so many shops on the coast to chose from. Up here in the mountains it is a little more difficult (Altiplano area of Granada). But if you want to travel a bit and like IKEA there is one just off the A7 at Murcia city where they sell all the same stuff as the UK IKEA.

You can buy standard sized pillows in Spain in different qualities.
In Gandia there is a Carrefour which sells everything that you need in that line.

I've never seen kettles, but toasters can be bought in electrical departments.

Hi The Oddities,

We have had a memory foam mattress on our "King" bed in the UK for about 9 months now and we do notice that it is hotter to sleep on than the previous pocket sprung one.

Thinking about what we do on our move to Spain will you report back on how it affects your sleep comfort.

We have seen them on our visits but wondered if they might be too hot for comfort. Kath suggests that we would be OK if we had two single beds but I am not sure about that solution.

Regards,

John.

You will be surprised about a lot of things in Spain, all this sun and no water cut offs and a bill of 15€`s a quarter.
