The sticker shows the year the ITV is valid until but not the date for renewal

Forgive me - Is not that the same detail in one ?

Date Valid Until
but not
Date for Renewal

Surely it's valid until is when the renewal is also?
Or is there a grace period

It actually shows the year AND the month. there's a hole punched in the appropriate month.

As snikpoh says, and it is an offence not to display it in the windscreen even if the ITV is valid.

Really...well it isn't as obvious as the year which is shown in large numbers. I will check the next time I go outside to the car :)

It shows the month and the year (the month is shown by a punched hole), but it is NOT a requirement to display it according to the ITV centre and also an officer ocf the Guardia Civil that I asked.

Re: ITV (MOT) overdue

hmmm not a requirement....... another little quandary in Spain....so the little sticker is not really a little sticker at all....mmmm ... why did they bother to make it self adhesive ? now if i try to take it off I am going to destroy it. so will leave it on.
if I try to take it off the police are sure to change the rules.

Hi Everyone, This has got me thinking how do you know when it its due if you don't have a sticker as the car was less than 4 years old but now is 5 years old does it tell you on your papers when it should be?

Also where can you book an appointment online?

Thanks for any help:)

Be prepared for a long wait, we had a 3 hour wait in a queue even though we were booked in and it was 30+ degrees  The ITV station in Benidorm is also for other surrounding areas, including Calpe

Hopefully you got that in writing so that you can show the GC that fines you for not displaying it.
When I imported the car they ITV station showed me exactly what to do and where the location of the sicker should be on the windscreen.
Personally I would prefer to display it then I know for sure that I cannot be fined for not doing it.
Can anybody else make an appointment on line? It saves all the queuing

I phoned & made an appointment (Antequera, quite a new ITV station by the looks of it), didn´t make any difference to still having to wait to hand in the paperwork then wait to hear the matricula called out by tannoy then queue behind all the other cars... not hours, though, thankfully:eek:
