As for telling people it is all rosy, again you're not reading my posts. Go away and get some literacy classes. Telling people there are vacancies in the IT and teaching English fields, is not telling people "it is all rosy".
Of course when I get the aggy+you (and also J2 but she's just a fantasist) turning up at the same time on the attack, I'll defend myself, and give the relevant links. for those fortunate to have the needed skills (must have said that 8 times now, hope you're beginning to understand) then there are opportunities. Doesn't mean it's not hard for people in other trades/professions - I've seen too many suffering.

Stevieboy, when your Spanish is as good as my English, then feel free to tell me to get literacy classes.

I repeat, most of those jobs don't exist. They almost all involve an advance fee. Spanish media has covered it and many are similar to 419 scams. Biggest scams are in language teaching........ Not so long ago a load of UK buidling workers were scammed. They paid money upfront to go and work on a "major project" in Murcia. A few fake language schools advertising jobs have been exposed too. It's all out there somewhere:)

Prove just one of those jobs I posted are non existent then! :D
(btw none of those I was posting were in language teaching or building, two of the links were for sites that specialise in IT posts - again you've proved you didn't read what was posted)

Why are you always completely way off-beam?

He claims he's here for the language aspect, yet there are other sites eg WordReference that cater for the lingo aspect - in fact it's against the rules here to post other than in English.

Yet he seems to do it all the time thinking he is above everybody. I bet he doesn't go out to pubs and certainly doesn't talk to people in the manner he talks to people on here or he'd be in A&E every weekend. With his wallet shoved up his Harris..

Nowyou are just being silly.

Why are you putting these job opportunities on here? Most of the posters askeing for jobs, freely admit that they dont speak Spanish and they were in Spanish.

Most of the poster asking for work on here, have not got those relevant skills that you keep banging on about, because most say that they will do "anything" to get by.

So obvioulsly your motives for posting the "jobs" is not for their benefit, to help poster find jobs,it is to show the doubters that there a plenty of opportunities, when the Spanish press and media say the opposite.

And at the riskof getting everyones back up most posters on here who have jobs in Spain, have inferior ones to what the had in the UK.

Most posters on here are not interested in seeing IT
jobs, as most dont have to work, and the ones that do are content with any old crap, as long asthe sun is shining.

Iknow at least, half a dozen people who have phoned for advertised jobs, had to wait on the line for ages and then had a quite detailed "interview"over the phone and when the phone bill came in, they found out the call cost over 30 euros.

Of course the job never materialised.

But if you have enough faith, these scams will not affect you, you just need to believe.

Booooooooooo.... Bitter man bitter man... Just leave it now. You're just stooping to low levels by slagging us all off for moving to Spain and reconing we are all toilet cleaners. What a dingbat. What is wrong with working an inferior job over here anyway? Does it affect you? NO..!!:argue:

At least you're beginning to see that what I posted (that in certain fields especially IT, there are opportunities) is true. Btw, there was a plea a few days back from an IT entrepreneur asking the govt to make it easier to import foreign techies - he's talking about the States I fear because Brit geeks are too scared to make the plunge (perhaps they believe this talkboard!)

5000 guiris needed
http://blog.tetuanvalley.com/2012/01/5000-guiris.html

I am convinced that Spain needs to urgently attract over 5000 high caliber professionals, making these foreigners´ visas a priority and bypassing the miserable months it currently takes to complete the exhaustive documentation.

These visas need to be granted to those few who want to commit to helping us move forward here in Spain, and who we need to do so. We need more teachers like Joe Haslam, who came from Ireland after selling his Internet company to the IE Business School to foster disruptive innovation among the international MBA students receiving their degrees here in Spain. Other examples are Nathan Ryan and Chris McCoy, other brave Americans who are trying to renovate our outdated university system from the inside at the Universidad Carlos III and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. We need more managers of large corporations and serial entrepreneurs with international experience from outside of our borders like Argentinean Inés Leopoldo of Mitsue Venture or German Gregor Gimmy of Sclipo. At our company we need Katelyn Melan, a 23-year American who graduated head of her class in a joint business program between ICADE and Northeastern University. After working at JP Morgan and General Electric she told the Washington Post that she preferred to stay here to build the entrepreneurial ecosystem than to earn what would be a very generous salary in corporate America. We need 5000 more names, just like those above, who are currently without a visa. Professionals that would have the perspective to help the next generation of entrepreneurs and those national directives that have so far missed their mark to reach their full potential. Although the ignorant would call them “privileged” for jumping the interminable waits for documentation, many have already been doing that for a long time. It is with their help we could we could finally begin to act as global citizens.

I'm wondering which of these jobs, or companies, are non-existent.

backend & front end developers for Chicisimo in Valencia

software engineer in Barcelona for Changeyourflight

Php+mysql developer in Barcelona with Itinerarium

http://dir.betabeers.com/post/

They look legitimate jobs and startup companies to me. But hey, the knockers have seen bogus jobs in building or airport jobs, so therefore what I've posted is fake. Great logic there J2 and JLFS - do you ever get anything right?

Have you read the scams that I posted? People being fooled by unscrupulous employment agencies.
A lot of jobs look real, it is only when appying further that the scam becomes obvious.

As for not getting anything right, I would say that I have got more right than you, dontcha think?

Grow up.

No it doesnt affect me at all, but at one time the -British had it all, and all the aliens like my parents went to shovel their shit, and now I find a lot of role reversal.
People working for what you NEED as you say, how the mighty have fallen, I never thought I would see the day.

I would never have come back to Spain to live in a worse state with a lowly wage, just getting by, and to be honest a lot of Brits, Germans, and others who live like that, are seen as a laughing stock, with no pride, because you are from what always have been classed as more advanced countries than -Spain.

There are a lot of Spanish who went abroad to wait on and mop up after Brits, and have had their illusion shattered.

The foreigners like Morrocans, and ones from poorer counties generate respect because they are trying to better themselves by coming to Spain to work, like the Spanish did themselves.

But most of the working age Brits are seen a bums, bringing thier kids to an uncertain future, does not impress Spanish people, no matter what you think.
