Sky TV is on the cusp of disappearing in some parts of Spain depending on dish size big or very big depending on where you are. There is a lot about this on various threads on this forum worth a read.

While you're in the U.K. have a look at FilmOn. You can check out what's on offer. The H.D. version isn't free but with its record facility, might be just what you are after.

In the Northern Costa Blanca it is alive and well and functioning perfectly normally in HD

As I mentioned elsewhere, a lot of the sites like netflix are not available in Spain, so you would have to cloak your IP with something like HideMyAss.com

Filmon is one of the few sites that are happy with a Spanish IP address.

Yes it seems from the first moves of Sky channels last weekend that it is moving the HD channels to the new satellite but on the Pan European beam. If they follow this pattern on later moves we should still be able to receive Sky channels as HD but maybe not as SD UPPING THEIR INCOME FROM THOSE WHO BREAK THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS and view overseas. However we would still not receive BBC, ITV, CH4 and Five.

I used BASE Sattelite to instal near Rojales. You will need a large dish. Contact Ian 606 911342 or John 686 814642.

You might be cheaper and get better service with broadband and use a proxy server as others have suggested.

There are many internet service providers. Telefonica gives a good and more importantly (for me) reliable broadband service.
