Hi guys,
I'm thinking about moving to Benidorm for the summer and renting an apartment.
I was wondering if anyone knows if it's ok to get proper internet installed in to apartments over there? I want to be able to keep in touch with friends and family online.
I notice that a lot of the ads online have no mention of apartments with wifi so that's why I'm thinking I may have to have it put in myself upon arrival?
Any help or advice appreciated, cheers.

Hi Shorty.
I would make sure that the apartment you get has a landline installed or you may well find it will be a very long wait to get fitted.

For friends and family a smart phone and Wifi via a cafe would probably do the trick?

Hi,
Benidorm has a very suitable 'town WIFI' system with hot spots all around the town. You can buy 1 months unlimited use for about 30€. I've used it a few times. At the moment I'm using a mobile wifi device that i buy 1gb data for 10€ month.

Yeah I was thinking that my mobile could probably do the job but wasn't sure how heavy the charges for the 3g/4g/whatever they use would be. Since looking in to it it would seem the charges are similar to over here so will probably just go for that I think instead of the hassle of getting the wifi installed.

I am not sure you understand the bit about using the Wifi in a cafe or bar? It is provided as part of the service when you buy your drink and or snack from them. So apart from that it costs nothing to you. You do not pay a data charge at all. So in effect it is free! You know like if you go to McDonald's or Weatherspoon's in the UK and use their Wifi. Same idea, a service to customers.
