Insuring a UK registered motorhome in Spain
Hi,
Is it still possible to insure a UK registered vehicle with a Spanish insurance company/broker?
My son is driving his motorhome over to Spain for a 5 or 6 weeks and then leaving the vehicle at my home in Spain, while he & family fly back to the UK. We are hoping to use the vehicle for a bit of an holiday until he returns to collect it. Could he, or us, take out insurance that would cover us to drive the motorhome in Spain?
We are Spanish resident with a Spanish driving licence. Many thanks

Not quite the same but perhaps worth a try.....
Liberty Seguros insured my UK registered bike while I went through the process of reregistering it. This was arranged through Jennifer Cunningham brokers.

Hola,
Yes it can be insured - the question is legality of driving it; I may be out of date but the law states that a person holding a Spanish licence cannot drive a vehicle registered in another country - unless in certain circumstances like an emergency. I have not kept up to date with law changes so best ask Guardia Civil or the N322 website

Thanks VEDS', I've used Jennifer Cunningham to insure our UK car prior to Brexit and she now insures the same car on Spanish plates. I'm unsure whether they can still legally insure UK cars after Brexit. I would only need the insurance for 3 months or so.
