thought I would share this, it may benefit some

had my renewal premium from linea directa through this week, 509€ full comp

as usual I went through the local papers and internet and emailed another 15 insurance companies for quotes, various prices came in ranging from 730€ - 396€ so I contacted linea directa to see if they could match/beat my best offer

they did - so I was happy

then yesterday I had another quote come in at 299€ I had already agreed with linea directa to take out their matched price policy (althoughthe payment is not due out of the bank til next week) but thought I would give it a shot and phone them to say I had had an even lower quote

anyway, long story short they didnt match the 299€....... they beat it at 291€

so it pays to shop around, Im off shopping tomorrow with my 218€ saving !!!

Same thing happened to me last year, saved quite a bit (not as much as you though), just shows what you can do, and also NEVER just pay when they send in renewal, but shop around.
