As a UK passport holder, you can't be refused entry to the UK unless the Home Office strips you of your citizenship.

Who are those winners?

Anyone who changed their pounds into Euros before the referendum didnt do too badly. Rees Mogg might have been among them.

Are you proud and do you trust him?

I think Philby went to Eton and wasn't Nicolas Elliot also there ( his father was Headmaster) ? Philby was operating head of MI5 whilst secretly handing thousands of documents to the Russian. Along with the rest of his Eton chums they were responsible for the death of hundreds of lives including people who they befriended for years.

DavelovesDee,Does that mean I can book a flight to UK & say I don´t want to fill in a form to show where I shall be self-isolating & I can still go as I am a British National?

You still have to follow the regulations on self-isolating. That is based on where you're flying from, not on nationality.

If you don't want to fill out the contact tracing form, don't bother coming back. It's so that in the event of a passenger on the flight tests positive, they can let other passengers know to be able to get tested. It's for your safety.

This was only a random question Dave.I just couldn´t imagine anyone actually being allowed to board a flight if they were making such a protest as obviously they are not going to reveal honestly where they are staying on arrival. And ,unfortunately,I am leaving Spain permanently this time due to family circumstances.

Apologies. Hope your family circumstances aren't serious... Good luck.

As a matter of potential interest.....
I flew back to the UK in August, nobody this side or on the aeroplane, Ryanair, asked about the locator form. The only check was at passport control in the UK, those who didn't have the form completed on their smartphone ie no form or paper ones, were given ipads and could not proceed until they were completed.
Of course, all of these forms rely on the honesty of the person completing them

It is some years since I took a flight back to UK so,for me,I am trying to get a picture of what to expect in these times.Sadly my daughter died & I am returning as my granddaughter will not want to inherit a foreign property.

That's the normal procedure for entering the UK from countries on the quarantine list for now.. And anyone who is found to have lied about where they're quarantining should be dealt with harder.
