I moved from Japan to Spain and wanted to know the regulation requirements for importation of used personal effects Tax free from a non EU country; I am British. The shipper is asking for documents that are not possible now.
Info on the actual true requirements would be helpful.

You can import personal possessions that you have owned for 6 months prior to importation. They must arrive in Spain no longer than 3 months after you do and you cannot sell them for 2 years.
You will have to pay a deposit of 50% of their value which will be returned after a year.
There is quite a lot of paperwork involved but the shippers should sort that out.
