Well done sunlover for getting the courage to go. I was all geared up last week and my confidence is now wobbling a bit. I had it all planned out - to sell up the house, pack in the job and pack up the kid and cat to move to Spain, but I think I might have chickened out!
Maybe reading your enthusiasm will get me back on track. What was the final thing that made you decide to go? Was it just the weather?

I wish I could say yes, but I'd be lying PS. The simple truth is we want to retire, I'm 51 and his nibs is 56 and there is no way we can afford to retire at our age and stay in the Uk. As it happens we have been going to Benalmadena for over twenty years and love it, we decided many moons ago that we wanted to live there, so we bought a place and decided that 2007 would be the year for us and hey presto its here

I wish I could retire,Im a bit older than you and nibs is younger than me we will move to Spain in the next few months but we will have to do something,so if you are retiring out there very lucky you.The very best of luck in your retirement ,have you moved yet?I suspose be truth beknown we could retire if we sold our house here and bought a cave house in Spain,now there is a thought,I will consult the other half tomorrow
