Galvanised is usually hot zinc dipped carbon steel - anodised is aluminium thats been electrostatically coated to arrest the oxidation process.

Hammerite limited? There's another range of hammerite look alikes and both have a range of colours, plus I don't suppose there's any bar to mixing colours and creating your own palette!
As to painting galvo, the only knowledge that I have to hand is the memory of someone telling me that fresh galvo is a b*gger to paint, old is easier. I would certainly check up carefully as if you don't you may well find that it doesn't adhere well. Abrading/sanding the surface lightly was also recommended to me. |
